Tried a new chili recipe today, sans beans. It is a version of my mom's recipe, which is still an oldie but goodie. Here it is:
1 lb ground beef
1 onion
4-6 garlic cloves, minced
1 to 1 1/2 C diced celery
2 zucchinis, thinly sliced
1 28 oz can whole tomatoes
1 14 oz can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
3 T chili powder

Cook vegetables and beef in dutch oven until beef browned. Drain fat. Add next ingredients. Break apart whole tomatoes. Bring to boil. Simmer for 30 mins.
